Crazy how time flows...
Since january, i've traveled most of southest asia:

Cambodia
Thailand
Vietnam
Laos
Hongkong & guanzhou
Malaysia

and now Singapore for a weekend!! Good thing is we came here on the national museum day.. No entrance fee for many museums!! So cool to be guided by Xiu li, our lil precious local! Feels good to go with the flow, no need to read in my bible to look up for activities & sightseeing spots!

Singapore is quite a civilized country, even tho its composed of the same looking of ppl: asians, malays, indians. The city is so clean, organized, contempory architecture buildings but with amazing cheap and good foods at the hawker centers. Would be a nice place to study here, but i will not know how ppl won't gain weight by living here!! :p

Then flight on May 31th to Manila, Phillipines! A 20days discovery!
There was once a plan of following my indonesian friend to his roadtrip in Jakarta, but he finally found a job and will stay in shanghai! Ohwell! Will love to plan another future trip to explore Borneo, Brunei, Indonesia , australia & new zeland!!

And flight to Hk on 20th of june, i'll get the chance to sightsee more abt hk with Pat & Mat and participate into their last shopping spree... They'll go back to Montreal already! As if it was already all drawn, my family is meeting me up in Hk on the 25th!

Don't know what's coming next yet!? Korea tour with Julie!? Taiwan with the parent!?

The fabulous Vendredi TREIZE weekend

Lucky in my bad luck, I felt like been much much clumsier & careless these days..

- I purchased a nice belt for 10RM ( about 3.50 CAD)....and forget the shopping bag after hanging it behind the toilet door...going back to look for it ...it was obviously gone

- While shopping at a market during day time, i left my Cowboy hat on a chair to try on a pair of sandals...and forgot it there...at least it was still in the shop when i went back to get it...

- We stayed at Combo Guest house, a clean place we thought we did a nice discovery until the next 2 nights where the owner stopped the running water from 2pm until the next day...and the internet kinda never  worked on the 2 computers...we were so frustrated...at least we planned to leave Kuala Lumpur & head to Melaka on the same day as we didn't want to search for another accommodation ( quite expensive ) ...
Anyhow i managed to pack my bag and forgot my Iphone, hidden under my pillow...and i only realized it while we were at the Caves...I was so praying bad that the dishonest boss of the place wouldn't keep it for himself and sell it. Back to the Guesthouse to pick up our luggages, the staff gave it back to me ( YESS THANK GOD) and was blinking his eyes to get a 20RM Tips...which I pretend that it was a joke and walk away..and ignored th request as i walk across him a few times afterwards hahaha

- On our way to the terminal, we took a taxi as it would be better to go off the 4km without carrying our bag on the monorail...It was difficult to catch one using the taximeter, the one we got made a huge detour...reached a good 20km...and we merely missed our bus of 8pm...as we got there at 8h05! Luckily, the bus arrived on 'Malaysian time', a good 15minutes late!

- I got attacked by a monkey at the Batu Caves...it can make a difference between Man & Woman, apparently are more likely to aim women because they know were fear more and are weaker to their defence...it spotted my water bottle and literally ran and jumped on my backpack to get it...I got pretty scared!

Pods Backpackers

Since the first day of my trip in January, i have never passed a night without someone in the same room as me.

Except this time, I had a night to spend in Kuala Lumpur before taking a bus to Pulau Penang the next day to join Patsya's crew. I have never thought of finding such a nice place to stay! During my guesthouse hunt in the Little India part of KL Central ( suggested by a dude in Infotourist Kiosk for the proximity of the train station & bus terminal ). I barely walked 20mins and found this brand new place opened a month ago.

The staff was over helpful, invited me to eat dinner with them, and helped me finding the best ticket to my next destination. Helena, the receptionist, asked me if i was scared of SILENCE.. i was the only woman in the 2nd floor...Useless to ask me if i took cheaper BUNKLE price or a PRIVATE room...i could take whatever bed i want...AC dormitory! I had a very good sleep, woke up by myself by 10am, just enough time to take their included breakfast & slowly head for my bus at 1pm.

Front door
All Ikea furnitures, the linen sheets also!!

The reception, and the huge metro map to show us where to go

The lobby, loved the book shelves where i exchanged my 2 books

I choose the corner, to feel more secure

Whole empty bunkle, i wanted the window corner, but then there would be too much sun in the morning
